A fill hose carries liquid CO₂ from the fill box to the bulk tank during a delivery. Because it is part of the liquid fill circuit, the hose must be properly rated for the pressure and service conditions of a bulk CO₂ installation.A vent hose provides a path for CO₂ vapor to be safely routed from the bulk tank to the exterior fill box and vented to atmosphere when required. How the vent circuit is used can vary depending on the design and age of the bulk tank.On older tank designs, the vent circuit may primarily provide an exterior discharge point when tank pressure needs to be relieved. Newer tanks equipped with a Sure-Fill-style circuit can use the vent line during the filling process, allowing vapor to vent as liquid CO₂ enters the tank and reducing the need for the driver to manually blow down pressure during the delivery.Although fill and vent hoses are often installed together, they perform very different functions within the bulk CO₂ system and should be connected to their designated circuits.

For outdoor bulk CO₂ tank installations, the gas supply hose should be designed to withstand exposure to sunlight and outdoor conditions. Milcarb offers UV-protected braided hose for this purpose in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" inside diameters.Using UV-protected hose helps protect the supply line from deterioration caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight and the elements, helping extend the service life of the hose in outdoor installations.

Yes. MilCarb stocks many of our standard hose assemblies in 5-foot length increments, but custom lengths can be manufactured when a standard size does not meet the installation requirements.Our standard hose assemblies typically use 5/8" female JIC swivel connections, with additional options including 1/2" MNPT swivel or non-swivel connections depending on the application.MilCarb also manufactures hose assemblies for truck-mounted hose reel applications.
