Beverage Gas Parts & Fittings FAQ
MilCarb supplies a broad range of parts and fittings used in industrial, beverage, and many other applications. Our inventory includes brass fittings, pipe fittings, compression fittings, flare fittings, hose barbs, flanges, gauges, needle valves, fuel valves, Oetiker clamps, adapters, and other replacement parts and components in various materials, sizes, and connection styles. If a particular part is not currently stocked, MilCarb will do its best to source it. Many of the products in our catalog today were originally added because a customer needed a solution we did not already carry.
The first step in identifying a replacement part or fitting is understanding where the component is used and what it connects to. Even when a part number or exact fitting description is not available, knowing the equipment, application, and components on either side of the part can provide valuable information for identifying the correct replacement. From there, details such as the connection type, thread size, tubing or hose size, material, and operating pressure can help narrow down the appropriate component. Photos of the existing part and the equipment it connects to can also be helpful when identifying an unfamiliar fitting or component.MilCarb's experience with gas equipment and system components allows our team to often identify parts based on how and where they are being used, rather than requiring the customer to know the exact part number or technical description. If the part is not currently in our inventory, we'll do our best to source the appropriate component and bring it in-house for the customer. Many of the parts MilCarb stocks today were originally added to our inventory because a customer came to us looking for something we didn't already carry.
In many cases, yes. Gas equipment and system assemblies are often made up of individual components that can be serviced or replaced separately when they become worn or damaged. Depending on the equipment, this may include gauges, valves, pressure-relief valves, fittings, swivels, fill-system components, mounting hardware, and other replacement parts.Replacing an individual component can be a practical alternative to replacing an entire assembly when the remaining equipment is still in good working condition. The correct replacement will depend on the equipment, application, operating pressure, connection type, and function of the component being replaced. If you're unsure whether an individual component can be replaced, MilCarb can help identify the existing equipment and determine whether an appropriate replacement part is available.
For customers who are just getting started with gas system installation and service work, MilCarb offers an installer kit designed to provide a practical assortment of commonly used parts and tools in one package.Rather than piecing together the individual tools, clamps, and fittings you may need as you encounter different jobs, the installer kit provides a useful starting inventory for both installation and service work. The kit includes an assortment of hose barbs and Oetiker clamps in commonly used sizes, along with a hose cutter and Oetiker clamp crimper, all organized in a convenient carrying case.As installers gain experience and encounter different equipment and applications, the kit can be supplemented with additional fittings, tools, and replacement components based on the types of systems they regularly service.
