CO2 gas flows in from the bottom
barb connection, and out the top
barb connection. Should the flow
become excessive (often times
caused by an empty syrup bag),
a check valve inside the Carbo-
Guard™ will close, stopping the
flow to anything downstream of the
unit. To reset, first remedy the cause
of the excessive leak (usually an
empty syrup bag.) This allows
gas to flow through the unit
unobstructed. Once the system is
fully charged again (about 3-5
seconds), the handle can be returned to the armed position, as shown below. The Carbo-Guard™
has been specifically tuned to work
with soda systems that have syrup
pumps set between 40-80psi. Other
tunings for different systems are
available.
